This variable is used to represent the variation of the maximum power capability or maximum engine power with shaft speed. If Dm is positive it describes a lower maximum power output as speed increases. This is characteristic of some engines and aeroderivative turbines. If Dm is negative the maximum fuel flow is considered to decrease as speed increases. This is common on single shaft gas turbines.

This flag is used to determine if the fluid flow depends on the speed of the machine. Gas turbines have fluid flow independent from speed and thus the flag should be set to 0. Diesel engines on the other hand have their fluid flow proportional on the speed. In this case, the flag should be set to 1.

Linearisation

If one wants to use this model in combination with linear analysis then the parameter delayType needs to get changed to "Pade Delay". The Pade Delay model herein has as default n=2 and m=n. Linearisation will fail if padeDelay.delayTime = 0. The default time-delay is set to padeDelay.delayTime = C.eps.
